3. Rishi Dhawan:
He is one of the most under-rated and unluckiest players going around in the domestic arena. Even after his prolific performances as an all-rounder, he doesn’t get a national call up which surrounds mystery in the minds of many. In 43 first-class matches, Rishi Dhawan has grabbed 192 wickets at an impressive average of 24.72. While, with the bat in hand he has scored 1,858 runs at a decent average of 40.39. In 2013/14 Ranji season, he was the leading wicket-taker apart from racking up 435 runs with the bat. Even this year, Dhawan featured in the top 5 Ranji wicket-takers list.
If he was selected for this tour, then he could have solved the riddle of a number 7 seaming all-rounder. For years, Dhoni has been longing for such an all-rounder, Rishi Dhawan could have well been the one.
