After a wait of 6 years, cricket comes back to Pakistan; PAK v ZIM series preview: March 3, 2009 – A country and its cricket fans had to suffer just because some terrorist organization didn’t wanted peace and enjoyed killing. Sri Lanka cricket team was on tour to Pakistan when they were attacked by terrorists on their way to Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. Some of the players and officials were injured but the damage it did to Pakistan and its cricket was huge.

No international test playing nation had toured Pakistan since then until Zimbabwe, like a helping friend, reached Pakistan to play five limited overs games between two weeks. Year’s long spell of silence and disappointment to the cricket loving crowd is finally broken.

The tickets for this series had some record sales. The tickets for the T20Is were completely SOLD OUT within two days of sale and almost 75% of the tickets for the ODI series are already bought by the public.
