And RCB choked again!:

It was the game of nerves, the competition was stiff with Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore trying to defend their marginal stand of 139 runs total against the ever aggressive Chennai Super Kings who smashed the hopes of RCB and made their way into the finals where they will be facing Mumbai Indians for the much coveted title of the IPL.
Now with this loss RCB can certainly be seen as chokers keeping in mind that they have been the most popular team throughout and the way they underperform during the main matches raise a serious question with the team and its temperament.

In this IPL season AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli have been in the top list of most scoring batsmen, Chahal with 23 wickets in his kitty has been on the list of top-wicket takers and Gayle has the maximum number of sixes but the team has collapsed when it comes to delivering an overall team performance even after a spectacular show in this season where they have managed their spot after a loose start.

The 10-crore bid on Dinesh Karthik made them fall flat after finding him struggling to justify his role behind and in front of the wicket while a youngster like Sarfaraz khan fought till the end to touch the minimum threshold from where his team could put a respectable total.

RCB has played in the same fashion and has left the field with the same result. If we look at the history of the team there are certain points which have been the same for example, a star-studded line-up with a hefty bid on each player. In spite of all these preparations the team has a knack of choking in matches where the situation demands them to show their mettle.

The exit of RCB from the race for the Trophy has fetched them the title of ‘chokers’ which could have been converted into ‘winners’ if they were able to hold their nerves.
