The 4th edition of Caribbean Premier League came to an end with a one-sided final between Jamaica Tallawahs and Guyana Amazon Warriors at the Warner Park, Basseterre. The 9-wicket win for Jamaica meant that they become the first team in CPL to win multiple titles. On the other hand, Guyana lost their 3rd CPL final. Here we look at the eventful tournament where quite a few numbers were recorded and some records were tumbled.

3 – Number of centuries scored in this season. 2nd most in a CPL season. 4 centuries were scored in 2014 season.

4 – Number of fifties Johnson Charles scored in this season, most fifty plus scores by any player. These are also the joint most fifty plus scores recorded by a player in a CPL edition.

4 – Dismissals effected by Kumar Sangakkara for Tallawahs against Tridents at Kingston. These are the most by any keeper in an innings in this tournament. All the 4 dismissals were catches.

4/13 – Dwayne Bravo’s 4/13 against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots for Trinibago Knight Riders are the best bowling figures in this tournament.

5.55 – Sunil Narine’s bowling economy rate in this tournament, the best for any player. (Min: 10 overs)

6 – Runs conceded by Imad Wasim in his 4 overs against Amazon Warriors. These are the fewest runs conceded by a bowler in an innings after bowling 4 overs in this tournament.

6:59 – Qualifier 2 game between Jamaica Tallawahs and Trinbago Knight Riders lasted for 6 hours and 59 mins since its scheduled time. This is the longest known Twenty20 game in history. Lancashire and Glamorgan quarter final in 2014 T20 Blast lasted for about 5:47 hours.

13 – Catches taken by Jason Mohammed in this tournament, most by any player in this season.

16 – Dismissals made by Kumar Sangakkara in this tournament, most by any keeper in this season. These are also the most dismissals made by a keeper in a CPL edition. 11 catches taken by Sangakkara is also the record for most catches by a keeper in a CPL edition.

21 – Wickets taken by Dwayne Bravo in this tournament, most by any player in this season.

37 – Number of sixes Chris Gayle hit in this season. He broke his own record of most sixes in a CPL season of 33 sixes in 2015 edition.

42 – Balls taken by Andre Russell for his century against Trinbago Knight Riders in Qualifier 2. It is the fastest century ever in CPL history.

50 – Number of fifty plus scores recorded in this season, the most in a CPL season. 48 fifty plus scores have been recorded in 2014 season.

58.50 – AB de Villiers’ batting average in this tournament. Highest for any player. (Min: 50 runs)

60 – Balls taken by Lendl Simmons for his fifty against Guyana Amazon Warriors at Providence. It is the slowest fifty ever in Twenty20 cricket.

64 – Runs conceded by Andre Russell in his 4 overs against St Lucia Zouks. These are the most runs conceded by a bowler in an innings in CPL history.

75 – St Kitts and Nevis Patriots were bowled out for 75 against Jamaica Tallawahs. This is the lowest total in this tournament and 2nd lowest in CPL history.

93 – Guyana Amazon Warrior’s 93/10 against Jamaica Tallawahs in the finals is only the 3rd instance of a team getting bowled out under 100 in a Twenty20 tournament final.

108* – Chris Gayle’s 108* for Jamaica Tallawahs against Trinibago Knight Riders is the highest individual score in this tournament.

151* – Shane Watson and Johnson Charles’ 151-run unbeaten stand for 2nd wicket for Zouks against Amazon Warriors is the highest stand for any wicket in this tournament. Overall, it is the 3rd highest stand for any wicket in CPL history.

150 – Hashim Amla and Dwayne Bravo’s 150-run stand for the 5th wicket for Knight Riders against Tridents is the highest stand for the 5th wicket in overall Twenty20 cricket. In CPL history, it is the 4th highest stand for any wicket.

197.27 – Nicholas Pooran’s batting strike rate in this tournament. Highest for any player. (Min: 50 runs)

206/3 – St Lucia Zouks’ 206/3 against Jamaica Tallawahs is the highest total in this tournament and 2nd highest in CPL history.

357.14 – Devon Thomas’ batting strike rate during his 25* off 7 balls against Jamaica Tallawahs is the highest for any player in an innings in this tournament. (Min: 25 runs)
