Lucknow Super Giants recently breezed past Gujarat Titans at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Both sides locked horns in the 21st game of the IPL (Indian Premier League) 2024 on Sunday, April 7, and despite getting the win, there were other worrying aspects for Lucknow in the clash.

Star pacer Mayank Yadav walked off the ground after bowling just one over against Gujarat Titans. It is worth noting that before leaving the field, the youngster’s pace looked down, and he was even hit for three boundaries.

In Yadav’s absence, it was the performance of all-rounder Krunal Pandya that led Lucknow Super Giants to a resounding win. Furthermore, after the game, Krunal came forward to reveal his chat with Mayank Yadav, revealing that it was nothing serious and that the youngster should be okay.

"I don't know what is happening but I did have a brief couple of seconds' chat - he seemed okay, which was quite a relief for us,” Krunal Pandya was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo.

"A bright prospect, I'd been watching him from last two years. He used to bowl gun in the nets, last year, unfortunately, missed it [due to injury]. But again, whatever conversation I have had, what I see is that he has a good head on his shoulders as well,” he added.

LSG register third win of the season

KL Rahul scored 33 runs in 31 deliveries, with Marcus Stoinis adding 58 runs on the board. Furthermore, Nicholas Pooran stayed unbeaten on a score of 32 runs, helping LSG post the total.
