So far in the Indian Premier League 2024, there have been 26 instances when teams have scored 200 or more runs in 44 matches. However, at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, there haven't been any massive totals yet, although some may argue that Rajasthan Royals scored 197 runs against LSG on the same ground.

Nonetheless, this season Ekana has had relatively lower totals compared to other grounds. Lance Klusener, the assistant coach of LSG, explained why there have been no ridiculously big totals at the Ekana Stadium.

Klusener talked about the different surfaces and conditions that are available in the various stadiums in the IPL. Ekana, which is known for its slow track, has not seen a single 200-plus total this season. The highest score so far has been 199, which was scored by LSG against PBKS. Klusener did not wish to compare the Lucknow stadium to other grounds that have looked like absolute belters, where the ball has come nicely onto the bat.

"I think we just need to be careful about putting a number on because the surfaces, stadiums and conditions are different everywhere. We have not seen those big scores here (Ekana Stadium). So I think we need to make sure that we are not comparing our stadium to other stadiums. I think that is important," Klusener said as quoted by India Today.

We are doing a lot of good stuff but in patches: Klusener

LSG had made an impressive comeback after losing two consecutive matches. They defeated CSK in their last match, including at Chennai's home ground. However, RR had a comfortable win by seven wickets against Lucknow. Klusener discussed the team's loss against RR and acknowledged that they have been inconsistent throughout the tournament so far.

"But I think you need to be more clinical. Winning the IPL is about teams making sure that they are on top of their fielding, batting and bowling. We are doing a lot of good stuff but in patches and for us to get deeper into the competition," Klusener added.
