CSK Shiver in the IPL Final, MI’s Hard Work Pay off with the Trophy in Hand – IPL 2015 Final, Statistical Review: The curtains of the Grand Finale got casted with Mumbai Indians adding yet another trophy to their trophy and this is a big one too. Opting to bowl first, the CSK line up did not manage to produce the best of their game from the initial phases. The destructive partnership of Rohit and Simmons coupled with a daemon like cameos from Rayudu and Pollard at the death overs took the Men In Blue to a cruising 201 runs on the card.

CSK looked to be a bit devoured under the ample pressure of the game and to attain a target of over 200 proved to be an exponential component to their pressure. After a tight start from Malinga in the initial overs, MI inched closer to the gigantic triumph. However, a steady partnership by Smith and Raina seemed to steady the prospects for CSK but not for long. Jaws of defeat seemed inevitable for CSK. Things worsened for them by the slowness of the wicket with the progress of the game. CSK lost their third IPL final on the trot, while MI were crowned with yet another IPL triumph. MI won the match by 41 runs and conquered their second IPL trophy in the process.
