The third Test between India and Australia ended in a closely contested draw at Ranchi. The match went down to the last session on the final day and the Aussies had to bat exceedingly well to see off the Indian bowlers on a tricky surface. Former Australian cricketer Dean Jones tried to take a dig at the Indian pitches citing the same reference.

He posted a tweet on microblogging site Twitter wherein he indirectly called the pitch to be poor surface. He noted that there are several club players who refuse to play on poor tracks. However, those players would want to practice on such poor tracks after having seen a track like Ranchi being prepared for an international game.

In his tweet, Dean Jones wrote, “Many club cricketers refuse to bat on poor pitches at training. Watching this Test, Day 5 is the reason why you SHOULD!” The response from the former cricketer certainly did not go down well with the Indian fans. One such Indian fan tried trolling him with a witty one-liner. The fan called Dean to be a typical Aussie who is complaining like a cry baby. The fan responded tweeting, “@ProfDeano cry baby. Typical Aussie.”

Well, with the match ending in a draw, the former Australian cricketer had the last laugh as India failed to dismiss the visitors in the second innings. He chose to have a late reply for the fan. He trolled him badly saying he could not reply back on time since he was busy polishing the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and ICC World Cup 2015. He wrote, “Sorry Priyanshu for late reply.. been too busy polishing the Border-Gavaskar Cup and the 2015 World Cup”.

It was Australia who had won the ICC World Cup 2015 and had taken the championship from India who had won the previous edition of the tournament. Also, the Aussies are the current holders of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. If the ongoing series ends in a draw, the Australians will retain the trophy. By the look of things at the moment, it seems like a possible case that the series might end up in at levels.
