Dinesh Karthik and Dipika Pallikal – A fairytale wedding: Yester night saw a big bash, with all the pomp and show, glittering with love, vows along with smiles when the celebrity couple Dinesh Karthik and Dipika Pallikal, the star cricketer and the Indian squash champ got hitched. Karthik got married to Dipika after almost two years of their engagement. Dipika is a squash player as well as the first Indian women to break into the top 10 in the WSA rankings.

Karthik, after the controversial divorce with his wife and childhood love, Nikita, fell in love with Dipika. After they decided to tie a knot yesterday the world witnessed some amazing views. The interesting fact about their marriage is that they will be marrying twice, one ceremony was held last night where they followed the Christian wedding rituals and the other is to be arranged on the 20th of August which will be concluded in a Telegu-Naidu ceremony.

Its been long when they both first met back in 2013 working under the same trainer, Basu Shankar. Soon they turned from acquaintances to friends.

Though the two of them met at the gym, there was nothing special between the two, unless Karthik flew all the way to England to see her after she won a tournament in Canada. That showed Karthik’s love for her and Dipika fell for him since that day.

Dipika hated cricketers, before she met Karthik for the fame and publicity they get in comparison to the other sportsperson. Not that she has changed her views, but more than a cricketer she fell for the simplicity in Karthik as a person.

Karthik proposed Dipika in England where he was a part of the Indian team that won the Champions trophy in the month of June 2013.

One of the 50 most beautiful women, Dipika as stated by Femina is engaged to the Indian cricketer since November 2013.

They decided to tie a knot after almost two-years following their busy schedule.

Last night was a fairytale wedding for the couple.

They exchanged rings, along with vows and promises.

The night saw a dazzling show with the lights and fireworks accompanied by the stunning bride, Dipika whose smile expressed all the joy.
