Peshawar Zalmi (PES) will lock horns with Lahore Qalandars (LAH) in the 17th match of the PSL 2024 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi on March 2. Peshawar Zalmi have won three of their five games so far and are present third in the table while Lahore Qalandars have been struggling as they lost all their six games and are at the bottom of the table.

Peshawar Zalmi had played against Islamabad United in their last encounter where Islamabad United won the toss and elected to bowl. Peshawar were off to another brilliant start as they had an opening stand of 77 runs. Babar played yet another fantastic knock of 111 and took the team to a huge total of 201. Islamabad started decently well with the chase where Munro and Azam played handy knocks of 71 and 75 each respectively. However, other batters could not contribute as a result of which they fell short of the target by eight runs.

Lahore Qalandars had played against Multan Sultans in their last encounter where Multan Sultans won the toss and elected to bat. On a good batting track, they lost skipper Rizwan early but made a sensational comeback from there to put up a total of 214 runs on the board which included a fabulous knock of 96 from Usman Khan. Qalandars had started well but once they started losing wickets, they kept losing one after the other and soon were bowled out for 154 losing the game by 60 runs.
