Indian batsmen are not good players of spin

Recently in the 25 Questions video segment with ESPNCricinfo, Graeme Swann was asked about various questions regarding his teammates and his career itself. One of the questions was whether the Indian batsmen were good players of spin or not and Swann immediately replied in negative. He further explained that no country has a batsman with perfect technique against spin.

Moreover, he also revealed that the Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan is his favourite. Swann though admitted that he never saw much Bollywood films and only knew of Shah Rukh Khan because he had met him sometimes and he was everywhere in India, on all the billboards.

One of the most interesting questions was who is the toughest batsman he has ever bowled to and the former England cricketer answered without missing a heartbeat as South Africa’s Jacques Kallis. The Proteas legend had a brilliant career with 13289 runs in 166 Tests, 11579 runs in 328 ODIs and 666 runs in 25 T20Is in a career that lasted from 1995-2014. Swann said that Kallis was excellent against spinners and was very hard to bowl to and was terrific on any surface against any kind of spin.
