The Indian selectors had one of their toughest days in office when they met on Tuesday to pick the ODI and T20 team for the tour of England. Sanju Samson, Dhawal Kulkarni and Karn Sharma make their first appearance in the team while Umesh Yadav gets a look in after being ignored for the tests.

There have been a lot of good, consistent performers in the India A team and a few veterans awaiting a call back. A tough call to make but, with a futuristic approach the panel has decided to place their bet on the young and upcoming talent.

The Team looks like: MS Dhoni (C) (wk) | Virat Kohli | Rohit Sharma | Ajinkya Rahane | Suresh Raina | Ravindra Jadeja | Ravichandran Ashwin | Stuart Binny | Bhuvneshwar Kumar | Mohamed Shami | Mohit Sharma | Ambati Rayudu | Umesh Yadav | Dhawal Kulkarni | Sanju Samson | Karn Sharma

The new entrants have been given the opportunity as a reward for a good performance in the quadrangular series in Australia. Sanju Samson was the highest run getter for India on tour, soaked pressure and took the team home from tough situations. Karn Sharma has been consistent with his bowling and is quite accurate to be good enough on English conditions. Dhawal Kulkarni was the pick of the Indian bowlers taking highest wickets and thus secured himself the spot.

Umesh Yadav has been recalled after he was overviewed for the test, taking into account the pace quotient he adds variation to the bowling attack. Stuart Binny though with limited opportunity and performance is retained for the remainder of the tour.

Rest of the squad is similar as the core of the team is held together. It will be good to see how these young guns use this opportunity and exposure. This series could well mark way for the World Cup 2015 team as the conditions would more or less be the same.
