Kohli went over Dhoni with the bat after 2nd ODI- Sources: With quite a lot of news about things going wrong between MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli after the team lost the ODI series to Bangladesh, we tried a lot to find out the actual information from inside sources. As a result we found a secret source (assume it as a player from the squad) reported that how things went in dressing room after the 2nd ODI on Sunday just before MS Dhoni attended the Press Conference as well as the reasons behind Raina’s tweet and Ashwin’s quote in press conference before 3rd ODI.

It all started when decisions taken by MS Dhoni during the series didn’t please Virat Kohli and team’s director, Ravi Shastri. As a result Kohli and Shastri wanted Dhoni to step down from captaincy after the team lost the series to Bangladesh. A heated conversation did take place after players came into dressing room from the post-match presentation of 2nd ODI.

Virat Kohli, putting the blame on Dhoni said: “Dhoni bhai, it’s time for you to give up the captaincy. Your decisions are backfiring our results.

MS Dhoni: “It’s not about my decisions, it’s all about how poorly the players have performed. And it is time to back my team. Not to run away from responsibility.

Kohli: “Don’t worry. I can handle this team. Time for you to step down as captain or retire from the sport.

Dhoni: “I can’t do that. And also, you have forgotten that you haven’t been in runs in last few matches. It will be tough for you to take over captaincy with this form.

As soon as Dhoni questioned Kohli’s form, the short tempered Test captain of Indian team went against Dhoni with a bat in his hand and cursing words like “B*******”, “M********” and the word Harbhajan uttered to Symonds, who mistook it as monkey in the famous Sydney Test match in 2008.

Ravi Shastri, who was on Kohli’s side got hold of Dhoni and did not allow him to move away. When things got electrifying in dressing room, Suresh Raina raced like a tracer bullet to save Dhoni by removing the hold of Shastri on Dhoni. Slowly and finally, Ravi Ashwin reached to fight spot and stood in front of Dhoni and called he will die for his captain.

When all this was happening, none of the remaining players decided to join either of sides with one of the players was lazy enough to sleep soon after he entered dressing room, one of them was working hard on how to rotate strike on slow tracks, another player was busy checking recipe of Chicken Biryani and other two players were busily working on their mustache. Similar to their part on the field, the bowlers decided not to contribute towards the spat.

Soon other staff members got themselves involved and helped Raina and Ashwin to save Dhoni and cool down the duo of Kohli and Shastri.

When MS Dhoni been called to attend post-match presentation, the depressed Indian captain addressed media and indirectly told, “I am always the one who is responsible for anything bad that happens in Indian cricket. Everything that happens is because of me.

Keeping Kohli’s words in mind, Dhoni told in PC, “If it’s justified that you remove me that I am the reason about everything going bad in Indian cricket, I would love to step aside.

The result of the incident fell a lot on Suresh Raina and Ravichandran Ashwin as their activities before the 3rd ODI looked unusual. With Raina, who surprised everyone by adding quote to picture in his Tweet. His tweet quoted “Respect” with picture of Tri-Series Final in 2013 after Dhoni scored 15 runs in last over to win the trophy for India. Later in Pre-match press conference, Ashwin said that he is ready to die on the field if his captain asks.

The off spinner quoted saying, “Of course, man! If you don’t go behind your leader now, then when will you? So as far as I am concerned it’s like an army, if you don’t go behind your leader then you are definitely going to get shot. If my captain asks me to die on the field, I’ll do it. It’s not just now, any captain you have to go behind him. If he asks you to die on the field, then you have to be prepared to do it.
