Ravi Ashwin becomes highest T20I wicket-taker for India: Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin now became the highest wicket taker in Twenty 20 Internationals for India. With 29 wickets in this format, he overhauled left arm pacer Irfan Pathan who picked up 28 wickets.
During the 2nd T20I against South Africa at Cuttack, Ashwin picked up his 3rd wicket of the game by cleaning up AB de Villiers, which he emerged as leading wicket taker for Indian in this format.
Ashwin, playing in his 28th T20I game picked up 29 wickets while Irfan Pathan had 28 wickets in the 24 matches he played.
Harbhajan Singh, who also featured in this game stood at 3rd with 24 wickets in 27 T20I matches.
