Report: Sachin Tendulkar signatured mobile to hit the market

You might soon have your hands on exclusive Sachin Tendulkar-branded mobile phone. Homegrown technology and IoT company Smartron is rumored to launch an SRT mobile series, a first of its kind. Industry sources were quoted by IANS as stating that the master-blaster was recently spotted shooting at a studio in Mumbai for Smartron that is working on their next device under the project name “Rimo SRT”.

This will be their third device in less than a year, earlier ones being the t.phone and t.book. the device is said to have a back finger print sensor and Tendulkar’s signature. The company though didn’t drop a hint but said they are planning to showcase new gadgets in the market.

The company launched t.phone last year which is boosted with dual-tone colour scheme and comes in classic grey, metallic pink, steel blue and sunrise orange. The 64GB device has a 5.5-inch, full-HD Super-AMOLED display with 401ppi and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor.

It didn’t customize the user interface and running on Marshmallow, the t.phone delivers a stock Android experience. Sachin has recently launched his own sportswear and cricket equipment range in association with Australian sporting gear and equipment company Spartan Sports International.

The range, titled ‘Sachin by Spartan,’ will be displayed with three different collections and will be retailed in India and 12 other countries, including the UK, New Zealand, and Australia.

Priced between Rs 2,000 and Rs 40,000, the collections will be available at multi-brand sports retail stores across the country and Spartan’s own e-commerce platform.

The company is also planning to launch its exclusive stores in India starting next month. Spartan had earlier come out with colorful bats. West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell was seen playing with a dyed bat. It did attract many viewers and was also subjected to review but it got a green signal from Cricket Australia the following week.
