England women got off to a great start to their ongoing T20I series against Pakistan women. Both sides faced off at Edgbaston in Birmingham in the first T20I on Saturday, May 11. One of the biggest highlights of the game was an exceptional catch that wicketkeeper Amy Jones took.

The moment happened on the second delivery of the sixth over, where Lauren Bell bowled a brilliant delivery that bamboozled Pakistan women’s opener Gull Feroza. The opener edged the delivery that went back from outside off, and Amy Jones took a magnificent catch after diving.

The clip of the catch has been going viral all over social media. Jones dived to her left and plucked the ball with one hand, which left the spectators stunned and the commentators in awe.

Speaking of the first T20I, the clash began with England women coming in to bat first. The side got off to a horrid start as openers Maia Bouchier and Danni Wyatt scored four and one run, respectively. Furthermore, Alice Capsey scored five runs in six deliveries as well.

However, it was the knock of Heather Knight that stabilised England's women’s innings. The skipper scored 49 runs in 44 deliveries, with Amy Jones adding 37 runs on the board, alongside Danielle Gibson who added 41 runs on the board as England posted a total of 163 runs in the first innings.

Aiming to defend the target, the hosts got off to a great start as Pakistan openers Gull Feroza and Sidra Ameen were dismissed for 17 and nine runs, respectively. Sadaf Shamas scored 35 runs in 24 balls, with the rest of the batters failing to amount to much.

After England’s exceptional bowling, where Lauren Bell took three wickets with Sarah Glenn taking four, and Charlie Dean and Sophie Ecclestone striking once each, Pakistan women were bundled out for 110 runs as the hosts won the game by 53 runs.
