'I think you can recover well and good luck' - Rishabh Pant apologizes to cameraman who was mistakenly hit by batter in Delhi

After the match between DC and GT, Rishabh Pant apologized to the cameraman named Debashish.

Rishabh Pant issued a heartwarming apology for hitting a cameraman by mistake. During his knock against GT, the DC skipper hit a six which hit the cameraman named Debashsih. After getting to know about the incident, Pant was sad. Later after the match, Rishabh was in conversation with DC coach, Ricky Ponting, and apologized to the cameraman. 

The official handle of the IPL took to social media handle and posted a video where Pant apologized to Debashish. The DC batter claimed that he did not intend to hit him, and felt that he could recover soon and wished luck. 

"Sorry Debashish bhai, did not intend to hit you, but I think you can recover well, and good luck," said Pant in the video.

The official handle of the league took to Instagram and wrote "One of the camerapersons from our BCCI Production Crew got hit during the DC vs GT match. Rishabh Pant - Delhi Capitals' captain and Player of the Match - has a special message for the cameraperson." The message from Pant has won the hearts of the fans after the star batter won the Player of the Match award for his brilliant knock against GT. 

Rishabh Pant's comeback in IPL

The Indian cricketer suffered a tragic accident in December 2022 and was out of action till March 2024. The star batter returned to action during the game against PBKS in the IPL 2024. Since then, the Southpaw has shown glimpses of returning to form. In the last two matches that DC has won, Pant has been the Player of the Match, both of them coming against GT.

In nine matches in the season so far, Pant has 342 runs at a batting average of 48.85, at a strike rate of 161.32, including three fifty-plus scores. He is currently the third-highest run-scorer in the league only behind Virat Kohli and Ruturaj Gaikwad. In the match against GT, the middle-order batter scored 88 runs in 43 balls, when his side was in trouble at 15/3 at one stage.
