IPL 2024: Justin Langer, Jonty Rhodes dance to the tune of Daler Mehndi at LSG 10K event

Ahead of Indian Premier League 2024, every team is indulging in interacting with the fans. In one such public gathering organized by Lucknow Super Giants, fans were in attendance as the LSG’s coaching staff danced to the tunes of Indian songs. The likes if Jonty Rhodes and Justin Langer were seen grooving to a Daler Mehndi song in Lucknow as some of the fans joined them on stage.

While Rhodes was an integral part of the LSG coaching staff, Langer replaced Andy Flower as the head coach of the LSG for the upcoming season. The 53-year-old has an impressive coaching resume, as he has previously coached Australia, and Perth Scorchers in BBL and Western Australia teams. He was welcomed by the fans with a melody from the old Punjabi song ‘Haayo Rabba’.

LSG eye solid kickstart with revamped coaching staff

LSG’s coaching staff has undergone revamp in recent times. Their crowd-puller mentor, Gautam Gambhir left the franchise and joined the ranks of Kolkata Knight Riders for the 17^th season of cash-rich league. The other significant members of the LSG’s staff are spin bowling coach Pravin Tambe, fast bowling coach Morne Morkel, and assistant coaches Sridharan Srirama and Lance Klusner.

The Lucknow-based team will begin their IPL 2024, with a clash against Rajasthan Royals. The match will be held and Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on March 24. They will then host Punjab Kings at Ekana Stadium on March 30. The KL Rahul-led side will then travel to his homeland Bangalore, pitting against Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 2. The team will finish the first phase of the IPL vying for supremacy against Gujarat Giants at home.
