The Pakistan media has been under heavy fire recently as they were seen blurring former Prime Minister Imran Khan on national television. The incident happened during the live telecast of the IMF meeting on Friday, July 7. The news channel ‘ARY’ that blurred Imran’s photo has been under heavy scrutiny from Imran's supporters.

The incident happened when the footage of the meeting was telecasted, and Imran’s visuals were censored and blurred, whereas the images of IMF representative and former Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi were not censored at all.

One of the suspected reasons for the blurring incident could be the recent arrest of Imran Khan. Ever since his arrest, is has been reportedly told to censor and stop covering new pieces on the former Prime Minister.

Seeing the viral visuals, former Pakistan batter Javed Miandad took to social media to troll the Pakistan media and shared a morphed picture of Imran Khan lifting the World Cup back in 1992. Miandad opined that if Imran had won the tournament under the current government, they would have even blurred his picture of lifting the trophy.

"If Pakistan wins #WorldCup in this Government a Suggested Post," Javed Miandad tweeted. The former batter’s tweet gained major traction as it went viral on Twitter with many fans interacting with it as well.
