South Africa managed to win the 3rd ODI to open their account in the ongoing 5-match ODI series at home against England, who won the first 2 games comfortably. England batted, first got a great start from top order yet again with Alex Hales scoring 65. Jos Buttler’s failure meant England had to accelerate the scoring rate. Root, who scored a brilliant 125 was helped by a 33-ball fifty from Ben Stokes as England finished on 318 for 8.
