South Africa picked up early wickets in New Zealand’s first innings after posting a big total in first innings in the series-deciding Test at Centurion. Thanks to a collective effort from their batsmen, South Africa declared their innings at 481/8. New Zealand had to face Dale Steyn who was on song. He and Philander picked up a wicket each. Ross Taylor’s run out added more trouble for the visitors as they ended the day at 38/3.
