The Bulk Leaders- 5 Heaviest Cricketers: Fitness is an indispensable attribute for an athlete of any sport. More so in cricket because of the dives that the fielders have to put in and the swift agility that is needed to stop the runs, the need to be a fleet footed fielder with quick reflexes and the need to run between the wickets as a batsman, and possess an enviable frame if you are a pacer in order to run in fast and deliver the ball. But over the past few years, there have been some cricketers who were rather unusually heavy for a cricketer.

The Bulk Leaders- 5 Heaviest Cricketers:

1. Warwick Armstrong – 133 Kg:

Without a doubt, the heaviest player ever to step out on to a cricket pitch is this man Warwick Armstrong from Australia. He was nicknamed as the big ship owing to his bulky size. He was a good batsman who had a solid defensive technique and appreciable temperament. He also bowled leg spin occasionally. A talented Australian rules footballer, Armstrong briefly represented South Melbourne in the Victorian Football League before playing Test cricket. He weighed 133 Kg at one point of time.
