In the 3rd ODI of the 5-match series in Harare in 2004 Zimbabwe was humiliated by being dismissed for meager 35 runs by the visiting islanders. In reply, Sri Lanka won the match comprehensively by 9 wickets with 244 balls remaining. The Lankan innings lasted for 9.2 overs and 39 minutes at the Harare Sports Club ground. The visitors thereby took a 3-0 lead in the series.
