IPL 2024: SRH vs RR Match 50 Highlights: Unmissable video recap, turning points, match analysis, stats and more

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) clashed against each other in match 50 of IPL 2024 on Thursday at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Hyderabad. SRH skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and chose to bat first against RR. In 20 overs, they put up a score of 201 runs with the loss of just 3 wickets on board against Rajasthan Royals.  In a last-bowl thriller, SRH beat RR by just 1 run. 

The Pink Army is currently leading the points table of IPL 2024 whereas SRH are on the fifth position. For SRH, Travis Head, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Heinrich Klassen scored 58, 76 and 42 runs respectively. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar's last-over thriller saved SRH from the loss against the table-toppers.

1. Nitish Reddy and Travis Head's innings:

SRH had a slow start but with the help of their star batter Travis Head, they managed to put up a massive total against the table toppers. Travis Head along with Nitish Kumar Reddy gave a blistering push to the team. Reddy scored 76 off 42 balls and the Australian batter scored 58 off 44 balls. Along with them, their wicket-keeper batter Henrich Klassen also hit 42 runs off just 19 balls. These batters managed to put up a score of 201 runs against the unstoppable Rajasthan Royals.

2. T Natarajan- the Purple Cap Holder of IPL 2024

T Natarajan has been the star of the Sunrisers Hyderabad squad this season. He has been extraordinary against all the teams so far. In the match against the indomitable Rajasthan Royals, he took two major wickets of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shimron Hetmyer. After Thursday's match against the Royals, Natarajan becomes the Purple Cap holder of IPL 2024 with 15 wickets in 8 matches at an economy of 8.96. 

3. Riyan Parag becomes the only uncapped player to complete 400 runs

Rajasthan Royals' in-form batter Riyan Parag has become the first uncapped player to complete 400 runs in IPL 2024. It can be said that he is the backbone of the middle order for the team. he scored 77 runs off 49 balls with 8 fours and 4 sixes and played an extraordinary innings in a big run chase when both Jos Buttler and skipper Sanju Samson walked back to the pavilion with a duck against Sunrisers Hyderabad. 

4. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar- The Hero of SRH 

In a last bowl thriller against Rajasthan Royals, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar defended 13 runs off 6 balls and then 2 runs off 1 ball against Rovman Powell. He helped SRH defend the total of 202 runs against the toppers of the IPL 2024 Points Table. An extraordinary bowling was seen from Bhuvaneshwar Kumar against Rajasthan Royals on Thursday. He won the Player of the Match award for his performance.
