India defeated Sri Lanka by a big margin of 69 runs in the 2nd T20 International to level the series 1-1. India gave a power packed all round performance to achieve a one-sided win. Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and put India to bat first. Dhawan gave a glimpse of what he is capable of by hitting a magnificent 51 off just 25 balls and in the process scoring first ever half-century in T20Is. Rohit Sharma supported him nicely with a well paced 43 from 36 balls. Both gave a kickstart, as India swirled their way to 70/0 in 6 overs.

There was a bit of concern after Rohit and Rahane got out, as the runs started to dry up but Pandya and Raina put up a superb show to ensure they kept India in the bay of a high total. Later, in the end, Thisara Perera achieved a hat-trick by getting Panya, Raina, and Yuvraj of successive balls. India ended up scoring 196/6.

Dhoni brought in Ashwin for the first over and he struck straightaway. Sri Lanka kept on losing wickets at regular intervals with Ashish Nehra applying the brakes, as they never recovered from the slump. Dhoni’s quick stumpings were also a highlight.

In the end, India secured a dominating win over their neighbors as the final showdown shifts to Vishakapatnam on Sunday. Shikhar Dhawan won the man of the match for his power hitting performance.

Twitter was buzzing with tweets from the game right from lauding Dhawan, Dhoni, Pandya to trolling Russell Arnold and Sri Lankan bowlers.
