Twitter Reactions: India v South Africa 2nd T20I, Crowd loses cool, disrupts play: The Cuttack crowd which rarely but enthusiastically gets to host an international game, came out in big numbers to support the Indian team in the 2nd T20I. The curator had promised a pitch which would be a run feast and thus increasing the enthuse even further.

But what played out totally ruined the dream of the 44,000 odd who were in attendance at the Barabati Stadium. South African skipper Faf du Plessis won the toss and invited India to bat first, since there was little that could be predicted of the wicket and to watch how the first 20 overs play from the other end seemed a better choice.

The decision payed off as soon as they got Shikhar Dhawan LBW and the Indian batting tumbled without resistance to be all out for 92. Though South Africa also looked in a spot of bother after losing 3 wickets in quick succession; with no pressure of the run-rate and the target, things looked easy.

But as the match was turning towards the decisive part with South Africa on 70 after 13 overs for the loss of 3 wickets, the crowd lost its cool, and all of a sudden there were bottles flying inside the playing area, the magnitude of disruption was such that the game was haled instantly and the play could no longer be resumed. The umpires and match-referee took control over the proceedings as the players walked off.

South Africa are well ahead of the par score as per Duckworth Lewis calculations and if the game does not resume, the match and the T20I series will go their way.
