Two people found dead near Edgbaston Cricket ground in an ‘unexplained’ case

The police have requested people who have any information regarding the matter to come forward and share it with them.

Two men were discovered dead near the Edgbaston Cricket Ground. And, a worker in Birmingham, West Midlands was the person who made this discovery.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson confirmed that the bodies of both these men were found in a car park at the Block Tower in Birmingham. Adding that the police was called to the Birmingham Block Tower at around 07:40 AM, the spokesperson said that the police has confirmed that both men are dead, and the car park has now been sealed as the enquiries will still go on. And for now, the police have accounted for these deaths as ‘unexplained’.

“We were called to Wickets Tower on Wyatt Close, near Edgbaston cricket ground, just before 7.40 am. The men were confirmed dead at the scene, and the car park has been closed while enquiries continue. The deaths of the men, who are yet to be identified, are being treated as unexplained,” said the spokesperson as quoted by mirror.co.uk.

Nothing could be done to save them: West Midlands ambulance spokesperson

The police have requested people who have any information regarding the matter to come forward and share it with them. Both men could not be saved despite the best efforts that were made by the paramedics who attended on them.

Also, a West Midlands Ambulance spokesperson said that three ambulances arrived at the spot to attend to the scene. Adding that two patients were discovered, the spokesperson said that they could not save both the patients and both were already dead.

“Three ambulances and a paramedic officer attended the scene. On arrival, we discovered two patients. Sadly, it quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save either patient and they were confirmed dead at the scene,” said the spokesperson.

Several officers were also present at the crime scene, and in fact a tent was also built and the investigation regarding the case will still continue.
