Watch: Umar Akmal takes an unbelievable catch to dismiss Sam Billings

Umar Akmal is one of the most exciting fielders Pakistan has in its unit. And, he justified this tag by showing his amazing presence of mind and catching skills to dismiss the dangerous English wicketkeeper-batsman, Sam Billings. Billings, who was one of the chief destroyers for England in the 1st T20I, looked very threatening tonight. England was cruising 136 in the 16th over. Billings had the platform set to launch an all-out attack on Pakistan.

Wahab Riaz began the 16^th over and was hit for a six by Billings off the first delivery. After a dot of the second delivery, he again swung a wide delivery. The hit looked like yet another six of the over in the long on region. However, Umar Akmal reached out of nowhere and jumped high to cut short the journey of the ball.

However, as soon as he got hold of the ball, Akmal started to lose his balance and was really close to the boundary ropes. His momentum made it hard for him to keep his balance. Akmal, finally, threw the ball high in the air before toppling over the rope. He came back inside the playing field to take a clean and comfortable catch.

Umar Akmal made this catch look very simple, but it was an unbelievable effort which left Sam Billings standing on the ground with a stunned face. However, the umpires wanted to check it again and referred it with the third umpire. The replays clearly showed that Akmal had taken a flawless catch and Sam Billings had to return to the dugout.
