We are on track for PSL final in Lahore: Najam Sethi

There are a lot of concerns over the Pakistan Super League (PSL) final. The league games are almost done and there is still a lot of competition for the slots in the playoffs. The final is just over a week away and scheduled to be played in Lahore, Pakistan there are dark clouds of terrorism over the same.

Ripples of terror attack hit Pakistan over the last week. Killing over a hundred and injuring a lot more. Ever since the final has been scheduled in Pakistan, there are constant terror attacks and amidst those attacks the PSL chief, Najam Sethi says that the preparations for the final in Lahore are on point.

He said that he has met with the Chief Minister of Punjab province Shehbaz Sharif and that all the preparations are “on track”. Sethi said “I just met CM Punjab. We are on track for PSL FINAL in Lahore. But we shall continue to monitor and review the situation in the run-up.”

A couple of weeks ago on 13th February, there was a terror attack in Lahore. Fourteen people were left dead and over twenty were injured in those attacks. CM of Punjab Shehbaz held another meeting which was specially called upon for the security measures to be taken for the big final on March 5.

Safety of each player will be their primary and the most important concern. All the security personnel are to be helped by the Pakistani Army. There will also be Rangers and local police for the huge final.

This match is very important for the Pakistan Cricket Board. As, if the final is successfully dealt with then it will send a strong message to the terrorists that their wicked plans will not succeed and to the cricketing fraternity that PCB is capable of safely hosting big matches. Thus all of the management and the owners have joined hands to make this event a reality and are working hard for it to become one.
