West Indies will be hosting Pakistan in a full-fledged series in the coming months with the Caribbean not having played much international cricket since their tour of the United Arab Emirates. Pakistan is currently in Australia preparing to play Australia in the ODI and T20 internationals to be played in the next few days.

While the offer for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) stands, the PCB chief Najam Sethi has not been able to make much progress on the home series against the West Indies. The PCB has reportedly incurred heavy financial losses in recent times due to the fact that they have not had many matches in Pakistan in recent times barring the tour of Zimbabwe.

However, in spite of all this, the WICB’s manager of cricketing operations Roland Holder went on to state that any series against Pakistan always posed a certain interest to the board. “Any series against Pakistan always poses an interesting contest for the West Indies,” he said in a statement.

He also went on to add that there was also an offer from Pakistan to play two T20I matches in Pakistan, something that was subject to clearance from the security delegation as well as the players who are still contracted to the West Indies Cricket Board.

“There is an offer (from the PCB) to play two T20 matches in Pakistan, subject to Players’ Association agreement and security clearance,” Holder had earlier told ESPNcricinfo. The tour will consist of two T20Is, three Tests and ODIs apiece.
