The 2-match T20I series between West Indies and India at the Lauderhill came to an end with the 2nd game getting washed out after completion of the first innings. West Indies were bowled out for 143 in 19.4 overs after been put to bat. India were 15/0 in 2 overs before heavy rain came down. Due to lack of Super soppers, play never got resumed. Earlier, game got delayed by 40 minutes due to technical issues related to broadcast, which turned out to be a crucial part in deciding match fate. West Indies win the series by 1-0.

5 – West Indies had a fifty-plus opening stand on each of the last 5 occasions when Johnson Charles opened the innings for them in T20Is.

28 – Wickets taken by Jasprit Bumrah in T20Is in 2016, the most by any bowler in a calendar year in 2016. Dirk Nannes had 27 T20I wickets in 2010.

110 – Runs scored by KL Rahul in this series, the most by an Indian in a 2-match bilateral T20I series. Rohit Sharma has 128 runs vs South Africa in 2015 series in which 3rd game got abandon. (Even without toss)

200 – Ravi Ashwin became the first Indian bowler to take 200 wickets in Twenty20 Cricket. Kieron Pollard was his 200th dismissal. Amit Mishra has 199 wickets.

497 – Runs scored by Rohit Sharma in 2016 in T20Is, 2nd most by a player in a calendar year. Virat Kohli has 641 runs in this year.

2010 – Last time before this series India played International matches on consecutive days was in June, 2010 vs Zimbabwe at Harare. It was also a T20I series.
