I will give you your sixes and fours - Chris Gayle to PSL fans

Hard-hitting West Indies batsman Chris Gayle is a renowned batsman in the shortest format of the game. It will only be fitting to say that he has been the most successful T20 batsman till date. The big Jamaican has been a part of various T20 leagues in the past. He is currently plying his trade for the Karachi Kings in the second edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). After the conclusion of the PSL, Gayle will head to the Royal Challengers Bangalore camp for the 2017 edition of the IPL.

While the IPL is quite some time away, his focus is on playing well for the Karachi Kings in the PSL. He is one of the biggest names on paper for the franchise. However, Chris Gayle has been a major disappointment this season. He has failed to click in the top order and it is perhaps because of this why the Kings languish at the bottom of the points table. In a recent video message on Twitter, Gayle indirectly apologized to his PSL fans.

The video was posted by the Twitter handle of the Karachi Kings. Gayle was seen promising the fans that he will give them their share of big sixes and fours. In case he fails to do it, he called it to be bad on his part. He added that he will keep trying and ensure that he entertains the audiences to the fullest. He called the Karachi franchise as the entertainment team of the tournament.

“Sixes and fours, I’ll give you your sixes and fours Ok. If it doesn’t happen my bad. I will make sure that at the end of the day, the team (Karachi Kings) comes first, and this team is an entertainment team… and we will try to make it special for you guys out here,” quoted Chris Gayle in the video message.

The message was posted hours before the Karachi Kings took the field against the table toppers Quetta Gladiators. Things are not over just yet for the Kings. They still have a very decent chance of catching up and making it to the playoffs this season.
