But with T20 Cricket and IPL taking centre-stage, it has become an equally important parameter as the strike rate or bowling average. Dot balls in T20 cricket are considered nothing short of gold. The Haryana Ranji star has taken his game to a different level after joining the Chennai Super Kings. Known for his slower ones, his unpredictability makes him a perfect option in the end overs. 9. He has often played the role of slowing down the rate if the opposition has got off to a flying start. Not having had a great World Cup, Johnson has pulled up his socks and focussed on being economical along with taking wickets. He had successfully defended 14 in the super over against Rajasthan earlier in the league. 5. Lasith Malinga – 90 Lasith Malinga MI. Considered by most as the best bowler in T20 cricket, Malinga has played a major role in the resurgence of the Mumbai Indians after a slow start. 4. Bhuvneshwar Kumar – 93 Bhuvneshwar Kumar SRH. His ability to swing the cherry both ways has been tough to handle for opposition batsmen and off late Bhuvneshwar has been bowling some unplayable Yorkers towards the end of the innings. 3. The promising Kings XI quick has the ability to swing the ball both ways and is a bonus on lively tracks. 1. Ashish Nehra – 107 Ashish Nehra CSK. (Photo Source: BCCI) The 36 year old Indian pacer occupies the top position with 107 dots this season. He is also the purple cap holder with 17 wickets in 10 games at an average of 15.35.
