Matt Renshaw is an Australian cricketer who is now just 25 years old. He is a left-handed defensive opening batter. He debuted for the Australian Test side in 2016 against South Africa when he was just 19 years old.

He impressed the selectors in his second match by scoring 71 runs and in the same series against Pakistan, he hit the top score of 184, by a young player of that age. He was spoken high about after this inning and was expected to be a regular opener of the side.

But he just played a total of 11 Test matches and has hit 636 runs with an average of 33.47. He was dropped from the team due to his lack of form in the later matches. He was soon replaced by other batters in the Australian side and has not come back yet after his last match in 2018.
