Indian cricket is currently going through one of its best phases where the fierce competition among players is only bringing out the best in them. India is currently among the top sides across all the formats of the game and their sheer domination doesn’t seem to cease in near future. While the senior players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, etc are guiding the team currently, several young faces will be expected to take up the charge in the future.

The current bench strength of India is tremendous and it has pushed players to display no less than their best on the field. In such a stiff competition, only a few youngsters have been able to cement their place well enough on the national side. And, the same bunch would be expected to tale further responsibilities for India in the future. Let’s take a look at a few of them-

Though KL Rahul began his India career with Test cricket in 2014, the Karnataka batsman has established himself as one of the greats of ODI and T20I cricket. He became the first Indian to smash a century on ODI debut and impressed each and all with his class.

The wicketkeeper-batsman has a good amount of captaining experience up his sleeves as he leads the PBKS side in IPL. Apart from that, he has gone up to showcase his pure skills for India consistently over the years. He averages 34.58 in Tests, 48.67 in ODIs, and 39.92 in T20Is.

Being only 29 as of now, the batsman has a lot of cricket left in his career now and can even be trusted with a captaincy role.  Seeing his recent exploits, it won’t be a bad idea to give him charge of the national team in the future especially in the limited-overs format.
