5 players on whom MI can use RTM in IPL 2022 Mega Auction

The most successful franchise of the IPL is in a confusion for the 2022 Mega Auction. Mumbai Indians, the most successful franchise in IPL, and their great ability to build a strong team has helped them gain so much success in the T20 league. In recent years, Mumbai has not only managed to get good foreign buys but also acquired some really good young talents like Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, and Rahul Chahar. But for the 2022 IPL, there is a Mega Auction to be organized. Now in IPL Mega Auction, if a franchise retains: • Three players: they will have only 2 RTM cards available for the Auction. • Two players: they will have only 3 RTM cards available for the Auction. • One or no player: They will still get only 3 RTM cards. This means a team can retain a maximum of five players. Among them, there can be -maximum 3 capped Indian players -maximum 2 overseas players -maximum 2 uncapped Indian players So this creates confusing trouble for Mumbai Indians, as most probably they’ll retain Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and Hardik Pandya. Now the question is on which two players Mumbai should use their RTM cards? Therefore, here are- 5 players on whom MI can use RTM in IPL 2022 1. Rahul Chahar Rahul Chahar. (Photo Source: IPL/BCCI) Chahar joined MI’s Squad in 2018 but he didn’t play a single game in the entire season. Chahar showed his magic with the ball in the 2019 IPL season where he took 13 wickets in the 13 matches he played. He again played an important role in the 2020 edition in UAE taking 15 wickets in 15 matches. His contributions helped Mumbai to become the champions in 2019 and 2020. Now he is a regular man of the Mumbai squad. In the 2021 season, which is halfway suspended now, he played a crucial role for Mumbai to do a comeback. His brilliant bowling in the MI vs KKR match gained him a lot of praise. In short, he is a significant player in the Mumbai squad. Mumbai is also lacking a good spinner other than Chahar in the contingent. So there are chances that Mumbai will use the RTM card for Rahul Chahar. 2. Ishan Kishan Ishan Kishan. (Photo Source: IPL/BCCI) Ishan Kishan came into the limelight when he was made the captain of India in the 2016 U-19 World Cup. He made his IPL debut with Gujarat Lions in 2016. Later he was bought by Mumbai Indians in 2018 but his performances weren’t so good in the first two seasons. But the franchise backed him and so he became the highest run-scorer for Mumbai in 2020. He scored 516 runs with an average of 57.33. After his dominating fifty in his International debut against England, his confidence might have boosted. He will probably also be in the T20 World Cup’s squad for 2021. So due to his great contributions to the franchise in the past and his dominating batting mindset will surely make Mumbai Indians think of using the RTM card for Ishan Kishan. 3. Kieron Pollard Kieron Pollard. (Photo Source: IPL/BCCI) Kieron Pollard, the dangerous Trinidadian batsman is a part of Mumbai’s squad since IPL 2010. He has played many important knocks for the franchise. As MS Dhoni finishes the matches for Chennai Super Kings, Pollard is doing somewhat similar work for Mumbai for the past ten years too. He has performed for the team whenever they needed it. Whenever MI faces a batting failure, he comes for the rescue. And he is doing this even now. He has a lot of experience for the West Indies and various other teams so he serves the team with his brain too. So using the RTM card for Pollard isn’t something surprising. 4. He was traded to Mumbai Indians by Delhi Capitals in 2020. Mumbai already had a deadly bowler, Jasprit Bumrah and with the arrival of Trent Boult, it was just like icing on the cake. He took 25 wickets in just 15 matches making Boult a valuable asset to the team. He bowls really well with the new ball. Mumbai has two world-class bowlers in their team now. Because of the eight overs of these two bowlers, it gets tougher for the opponent team to score runs. So retaining Boult with the RTM card into the team makes their Playing-11 stable, as always. 5. The classy player scores for the team in the middle order and even as an opener. He is someone who not only carries the great starts given by the top order but he also puts a pause on a devastating fall by the top-order whenever needed. His brilliant start to the International career with a fifty was a treat to watch. His performance for the Indian team showed his temperament to everyone. Because of his consistent performances for the MI, it feels very difficult that they will release him. In this complete list, ‘SKY’ looks like a confirmed player for Mumbai to get retained by the Right to Match card.
