Gurkeerat is a Right-handed middle-order batsman. Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2020, has been successful in having a good opening pair. With the likes of Virat and ABD in the middle order, Gurkeerat was given the role of playing the lower middle-order. Out of many matches he was in the Playing XI, Gurkeerat did not find the opportunity to prove himself.

But when he was given the chance to bat slightly up the order, Gurkeerat disappointed the fans and the franchise with his poor performance. He struggled to find the middle of the bat. The right-hander often found himself batting with ABD which put him under the scanner. He failed to even rotate the strike. His strike rate fell below 100. RCB needed a solid Indian batsman in the middle order to find the right balance in the team. But Gurkeerat is definitely not the right find for the side.

Gurkeerat scored 15 runs consuming 24 balls in the game against SRH. At the time to accelerate and find as much as possible, Gurkeerat was not even able to strike the ball cleanly with his bat. He struggled to score runs at the end. His skills at the RCB doesn’t fit the description of the player they need in that middle order. It won’t be a surprise if the RCB franchise releases Gurkeerat Singh Mann ahead of the IPL 2021.
