After a one-sided Test series, Sri Lanka and England face off in the 5-match ODI series starting from 21st June at Nottingham. Trailing 2-10 to England on the basis of the newly devised points system, Sri Lanka have altered their side whereas England look far more settled than the tourists. Last time these two sides met in England in an ODI series, we were treated with some of the best entertainment be it Jos Buttler’s 61-ball-100 or his mankading dismissal in the next game. With another high voltage series on offer, let us look at the 5 players to watch out for:

1. Nuwan Pradeep:

The highest wicket-taker for Sri Lanka in the test series with 10 wickets from 3 matches, Pradeep promises to be the future of fast bowling for the islanders. With a slinging action and raw pace, Pradeep’s skills were on display in the recently concluded Test series. Though the Lankan bowlers had a hard time throughout the 3 Tests, Pradeep was often seen troubling the batsmen with his late swing and sharp speed. Let us see whether he can transfer his form to the much easier one day format on helping wickets.
