Another reliable contender to open the innings for the Mumbai franchise is Ishan Kishan. A lethal wicketkeeper-batsman in his early 20’s, Ishan Kishan is a dream package for the MI. Ishan Kishan provides a twofold advantage to the franchise. Not only does he provide the team with his devastating ability to clobber the ball, but also acts as a spare wicketkeeper for the team. This allows the team to play him as a keeper and a player.

Averaging slightly higher against speedsters, his attacking batting will suit the team to get off a flying start since he has been known to be a player who intends to hit every delivery. An approach like this with the right sense of the game is something the team management would look produce in the early part of the innings.

Ishan Kishan would provide the team with the option to play a left hand-right hand combination at the top of the order. Having an average of 21.06 against his name, he would seem to be a good gamble that will help to have some quick runs on the board.
