The ace Pakistan batsman Babar Azam is currently the top-ranked T20I batsman of the world. The 25-year-old has consistently performed for the team in the shortest format of the game. Azam has been consistently averaging around 50 in the format. As a result, he has also been named the T20I skipper of the side. Howbeit, since the past few weeks, everything hasn’t been well for Pakistan cricket. The top-ranked team was whitewashed in their own backyard by the Lankan side in the recently-concluded T20I series. Consequently, the wicketkeeper Sarfaraz Ahmed was also sacked from the captaincy post. Babar Azam couldn’t do much in that series. In the last season of the Bangladesh Premier League, the dashing opener had hit a scintillating century. At the moment, Hales finds himself at the 8th spot in the ICC T20I rankings. The England cricket team will further play a 5-match T20I series with New Zealand. The 30-year-old, who hasn’t played many T20I games this year, could be the man of the series in all likelihood and strengthen his position in the ICC rankings. 5. Hazratullah Zazai Hazratullah Zazai. His capability of striking the cricket ball with brutal force has left the pundits and fans befuddled and surprised. He holds the record of scoring the fastest half-century for Afghanistan. He also has a record of registering the highest score by an Afghanistan batsman, which is also overall the second-highest T20I individual score of all time. Zazai’s knock of 162 runs consisted of a record 16 sixes which also helped his team Afghanistan to post the highest T20 total of 272 runs.
