5 underutilized Players in IPL 8: The best way to judge a player is by making him take the field or allowing him to perform a major part in the proceedings of the match. Unfortunately though, such ideal situations are hard to be witnessed in a highly competitive league as the IPL. The biggest constraint which forces quality players to sit out for average names is the rule for only four overseas cricketers in the playing eleven. Another phenomenon to be seen is saving your best batsman or bowler for the last part of the innings. This is however yet to be established as a wise plan on the front of strategy.
Here we take a look at 5 underutilized Players in IPL 8:
1. Shaun Marsh:
The elegant Aussie left hander was the highest run scorer and orange cap holder in the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League with 616 runs to his name. He was a vital cog in the Punjab team then, but being out with injury for a season and with the arrival of big names like David Miller and Glenn Maxwell, Marsh soon found himself on the bench. The first match he played this season, Shaun got a brilliant 65 and helped his team win in the super over against Rajasthan. With Maxwell being woefully out of touch, Marsh perhaps deserved more chances to show his worth.
