5 Ways in which West Indies can gain back the Cricketing glory: If you asked any fortune-teller 25 years ago where would West Indies Cricket be in 2015 and if he answered languishing at the bottom, you wouldn’t pay him a penny for the insight. But look what has transpired in all these years. West Indies have seen everything they could from trophies to controversies to misunderstandings within the board over the past few years. And the ripples of the decline haven’t just impacted the Caribbean. Their fall from grace has been a major disappointment for the game of cricket world over. There is simply no one who does not like the guys from this island.

The flavour they bring on the field is just one of its kind. Here we are listing five such ways by which Windies cricket can be revived and revamped:

This wouldn’t have been on the agenda had it not been for the huge success of the Indian Premier League. The IPL helped bring new talent to the fore as the experience the youngsters gained while playing with international stars was invaluable. The WICB should take note and constructively use the already popular CPL to nurture young stars who could go on to represent the country in future. The CPL could also help revive the diminishing crowd interests in the island.
