The IPL 2017 auction once again witnessed a few amazing bid wars teams aggressively went behind a player which resulted in the price shooting up and in the end the players were the real gainers. Teams like they always do came out with specifics in mind, they knew exactly what they were looking for, picked only those players if he was going out of their range didn’t hesitate in pulling off from the bid either. Four England players aggregated a sum of INR 32.70 crores.
English players were the center of attraction – Ben Stokes like expected fetched the highest contract sum of INR 14.5 crores. There was an intense bid war between Mumbai Indians, Delhi Daredevils and Sunrisers Hyderabad for him before Rising Pune Supergiants entered escalated it to 14.5 and stole the player. Tymal Mills was the next best Royal Challengers Bangalore have agreed to pay INR 12 crores to pay for him to be a part of their team in the upcoming season of the IPL.
Siraj has climbed a few steps in the season, he played 11 first-class matches this season and picked 44 wickets, in the T20s he has 4 scalps after featuring in 10 matches. His exploits for Hyderabad earned him a spot in the India A team as well.

1. Sunrisers Hyderabad
The champions of the previous season Sunrisers Hyderabad were pretty sorted when they walked in for the auction. They picked a total of 8 players spending 8 crores 65 lakhs rupees. Sunrisers having released Karn Sharma from the team ahead of the auction were looking to add another quality leg-spinner into the team and that is what saw them persist to buy Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan who has been the most impressive limited-overs spinner in the international season.
SRH also picked another Afghan player allrounder Mohammad Nabi who has been one of the most consistent performers for the Associate team. Nabi became the first player from Afghanistan and the entire Associate circle to be picked by a team. He was picked for his base price of INR 30 lakh. Another expensive yet impressive pick from the Hyderabad-based team was local talent Mohammed Siraj.
