Former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar calling Ravindra Jadeja ‘bits and pieces’ player had create a huge controversy last year during the World Cup. Jadeja himself was not pleased with the comment and Manjrekar had come out and give a clear explanation regarding the same. But that incident and a unwanted argument with Harsha Bhogle during India’s home season led to him getting axed from BCCI’s commentary panel.

Rather the fans on Twitter time and again come up and remind him of his comment on Jadeja. On Friday, one of the Twitter users, quoted Sanjay Manjrekar’s tweet on CSK and MS Dhoni and called him a bits and pieces commentator taking a hilarious dig at him for his comment last year.

The 55-year-old came up with an apt response for this as he stated that he is pure commentator and explained the meaning of bits and pieces. Sanjay Manjrekar also suggested the fan to call him a bad commentator if he doesn’t like him. “No sir, I am a pure commentator. Bits and pieces are those who do little bit of this and little bit of that. So if you don’t like me,say bad commentator, not bits and pieces,” his tweet read.

Here’s his tweet:

Sanjay Manjrekar not in IPL 2020 commentary panel

After a lot of banters on Twitter last year and moreover, after a heated conversation with Harsha Bhogle while commentating during the Pink Ball Test, BCCI had decided to remove Sanjay Manjrekar from the commentary panel. However, ahead of the IPL 202o, the former cricketer wrote multiple emails to the Indian board request him to reinstate in the panel and also assured them of working according to their guidelines.

But all his efforts went in vain as his name went missing when the commentators’ list for the 13th edition of the cash-rich league was announced. Recently, when asked about the same, Manjrekar refused to comment on the matter and has continued to analyse the ongoing IPL for a popular cricket website.
