Gujarat Lions middle order batsman Aaron Finch hoped that his fellow Australian teammate was available for selection for their upcoming match at Edens Gardens. Finch believes that the presence of Chris Lynn would have been entertaining for the viewers.

Aaron Finch was at the receiving end of Lynn’s exploits with the bat when the two teams met last time. Lynn scored a rapid knock of 93 off just 41 balls wich was laced with eight sixes and six fours. Kolkata Knight Riders knocked off the required target of 185 within 15 overs with able support from their skipper Gautam Gambhir.

He followed his destructive knock against the Gujarat Lions with a 32 run knock against the Mumbai Indians. However, while fielding in the same match, Lynn tried to grab a screamer and injured his problematic shoulder in the process.

Aaron Finch and Chris Lynn have played a considerable amount of cricket together in domestic cricket as well as the KFC Big Bash, apart from the national team. Finch represents Melbourne Renegades while Chris Lynn plays for the Brisbane Heat. Therefore, he stated that the absence of one of the biggest entertainers in World Cricket is disappointing for both Lynn and IPL.

“Yes, it is obviously disappointing for Chris and for the competition because I think the way he started the tournament was unbelievable. His innings against us was just brute power and superb hitting. I think anytime he is unavailable is disappointing and a shame for the paying public.” said Finch while praising the Queenslander, according to sayings by HT.

The Victorian further expressed that his big-hitting prowess is second to none, irrespective of the position he bats at, “His ability to hit particularly down the order or anywhere is as good as anyone in the world. It’s good for Chris to be in the squad.”

Gujrat Lions would want to take their revenge against the Knight Riders for their humiliating loss tomorrow at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
