Former Indian off-spinner, who currently plays for the Mumbai Indians, Harbhajan Singh held a Question and Answer session on his Twitter handle, on the occasion of India’s sixth World Cup win anniversary. Harbhajan has faced some of the most lethal batsmen in his long cricketing career – ranging from Brian Lara to Ricky Ponting– and he has often come up with brilliant performances no matter how highly the opposition batsman’s batting is considered.

One of the fans during the session asked him to single out the most difficult batsman to bowl to from the present generation of cricketers. The offie, who has also bowled to the likes of MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli in the Indian Premier League (IPL), singled out South Africa’s AB de Villiers as the most difficult batsman to bowl to.

The 36-year-old, by another fan, was also asked to name his favourite batsman and there was hardly any doubt that Harbhajan would come up with any other name than that of Sachin Tendulkar.

The Ambani-owned franchise will felicitate Harbhajan, along with Tendulkar and Lasith Malinga during the IPL. All three have been an integral part of MI from the first edition of IPL in 2008 with Tendulkar, remaining as the franchise team’s icon after retiring in 2013.

The celebration called ‘10 glorious years of Mumbai Indians’ will have a function at the residence of team owners Mukesh and Nita Ambani on April 10.

Several veterans and support staff are also expected to attend the event, including Anil Kumble, Ricky Ponting, Shaun Pollock and Sanath Jayasuriya. Officials from the MCA and BCCI are also expected to make their presence felt, along with several Bollywood celebrities who have been invited.

Two-time champions Mumbai Indians will begin their 2017 IPL campaign with a game against Rising Pune Supergiant on April 6. After that, they play against Kolkata Knight Riders in Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.
