It’s a fact that guys from Delhi tend to be more abusive on the field and it is more evident from the fact that two of the most celebrated cricketers from the place Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli are very expressive on the field. If you remember these two were involved in a heated argument during a match between the two sides.

It was after Kohl’s dismissal that the two charged towards each other before their teammates intervened and put an end to the matter. Kolkata Knight Riders shared a video on their twitter handle where Gambhir is seen having an official breakfast with Jatin Sapru where he answers a few questions.

He reveals that the abusive language used by him and Kohli I a testimony to how the Delhi people are brought up. They have it in them to compete and it comes to them very naturally. He says it’s the culture of the capital city which makes them so expressive on the field. The southpaw also revealed that his teammates are aware that despite his intense face on the field he is a pretty chilled out guy outside the playing arena.

He says that abusing is not a wrong thing unless it gets personal and the rivalry should remain only on the field. Gambhir went on to add that in Delhi cricket it is always about performing or perishing and there is no 2nd though about that which makes the cricketers of the city very competitive from an early age.

During the chat, Gambhir also added that in leisure time he loves spending time his daughter. He misses his daughter when he is not around and busy with his cricketing duties and he feels it’s a stress relief to spend time with his daughter especially after a hard day’s work.

Gambhir will definitely look to continue his impressive performance in the tournament so far on a personal front and will also look for a turnaround for KKR after the two-time champions lost their previous encounter against the Gujarat Lions.
