Everyone is going berserk right now after India’s win in the Nidahas Trophy final the other night thanks to Dinesh Karthik’s exploits. The 32-year-old cricketer from Tamil Nadu has always remained under the shadow of some other wicket-keeper batsmen, but when he finally got the chance, he proved his mettle against Bangladesh on Sunday night.

Veteran Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty probably had the best message for Dinesh Karthik after his match-saving pyrotechnics at Colombo. People always knew Dinesh Karthik is a very special talent. Every time he went under the hammer in the IPL auction, he returned with a humongous contract, managing to earn a contract worth over Rs. 10 Crore on three occasions. His market value has always remained high because everyone knew he was the best keeper-batsman in the country after MS Dhoni.
