Actor Ranveer Singh elated after Mumbai Indians’ nerve wracking victory over Punjab

The Mumbai Indians managed to stay alive in the tournament with a victory over Kings XI Punjab at home. They managed to oversee the KL Rahul threat as Jasprit Bumrah managed to get him in the penultimate over. With a positive NRR, the Mumbai Indians are likely to qualify for the playoffs if they win their next game against the Delhi Daredevils.

After a thriller at Wankhede, the Mumbai Indians fans certainly breathed a sigh of relief. The match went down the wire and could’ve gone anyway. The Mumbai fans were glad to pull this off and the same could be seen on Twitter as well. Eventually, the defending champions were all smiles, to say the least.

Out of all Mumbai fans, there was Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh too who termed the game as nerve wracking. He was glad that MI nerve-wracking this in style no matter what. He lauded Rohit Sharma’s captaincy during the nervy game.

Terming Kieron Pollard as the big man, he was glad with the Caribbean man’s performance. The all rounder who had been going through a lean patch so far in the Indian Premier League was brought back for JP Duminy. He managed to repay the faith with a 23 ball 50 innings.

Ranveer Singh further credited Jasprit Bumrah for his splendour bowling effort.  He felt that the spell made the difference for the hosts. The 24 year old had sensational bowling figures of 3/15 in his four over quota. He got rid of the dangerous KL Rahul in the penultimate over.

Finally, he appreciated KL Rahul’s knock of 94 runs from 60 balls. The right hander potentially took away the game from Mumbai Indian’s hands. However, he failed to clear the six against Bumrah as he found Ben Cutting at long off. With this win, Mumbai Indians just need one more victory to qualify for the next phase.
