Adam Gilchrist, the former Australian wicket-keeper batsman is considered to be the one who revolutionized the way wicket-keeping was perceived. Only a few know that Gilly loves his food hot and spicy.

Delhi-based food enthusiast and chef, Saransh Goila had one of the great days of his life as he got the opportunity to serve for the famous Aussie cricketer, Adam Gilchrist and to add to that Gilchrist had also added his touch to the ‘Butter Chicken’, which is one of the Gilly’s favorite dish.

This happened at The Hive in Khar on Wednesday with a lot of conversation, pictures and delicious food. Speaking about the experience, Goila Chicken specialist, Saransh Goila said that he can’t actually believe what just happened, as he termed the incident as ‘unmatched’.

“Being a cricket fan, I can’t believe I am actually come to a day where I get to serve Gilchrist something that I cook. It’s a feeling that is unmatched. At Goila’s we smoke our butter chicken with coal and today Gilly smoked the butter chicken and he did it as easily as he hits sixes in the stadium,” said Saransh.

The excited Adam Gilchrist said that despite having his love for a lot of dishes from India, Butter Chicken is his favorite and he has got some secret techniques from the Goila Chicken specialist himself.

“Well , there are a lot of dishes that I love from India, but Butter Chicken is my favourite. I was looking forward to learn the secret technique from Saransh. It was a great experience to learn the smoked variety from the man himself,” he concluded.

Gilchrist played for Australia in 96 Test matches, 287 ODIs and 13 T20 internationals, scoring over 15000 international runs.
